The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo today announced that beginning August 13 in the United States and Canada, the Bug-type Pokémon Pinsir—normally only encountered in the Pokémon X video game—will be available to players of Pokémon Y via a special wireless Internet distribution. During the same wireless Internet distribution period, the battle-tested Bug- and Fighting-type Pokémon Heracross—typically only encountered in the Pokémon Y video game—will be available to players of Pokémon X. Fans of these powerful Pokémon will need to act quickly as this unique distribution is only available for a limited time, ending September 17.Nintendo Press
The Heracross, a Y-version exclusive, will be available to Pokemon X players with the moves Bullet Seed, Pin Missile, Close Combat and Megahorn. A Pinsir will be available for Pokemon Y players as it was only available in Pokemon X. It has the moveset of X-Scissor, Earthquake, Stone Edge and Return.
Players who visit participating GameStop stores to pick up the code can also pre-order the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire video games, releasing November 21, 2014, for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, and receive a special pre-order bonus poster. Codes for the Heracronite and Pinsirite Mega Stones and the bonus poster are available while supplies last.Nintendo Press
